The Art
My artwork is more than an image,
Its a way of translating the world as I experience it. Every piece I create comes from real moments: the textures of daily life, the rush of inspiration, the quiet reflections, and the stories I can’t yet put into words.
What makes my work special isn’t perfection - its honesty. It’s the layers of thought, intuition, and feeling that shape each piece. My hope is that for the new owner, it becomes a calming presence in a busy home, or a spark of joy in a quiet corner, a reminder to live a wonderful life.
There’s a kind of quiet magic the way art comes to life, stories that rise up out of nowhere, a transformation from nothing to something beautiful, with the power to alter the viewers emotions, to make them stop and experience.
That sense of turning the invisible into the visable that’s magic.
I want my art to create a presense, a calm doorway into another world, with a space for the viewer to add their own story, that maybe they also don’t have the words for yet.
My hope is that when you bring one of my pieces into your home, you’re not just buying art, you’re choosing a feeling, a moment of transformation, a little daily magic. Something that reflects who you are, who you want to become and what you want more of in your life.
That’s the power of art shaped by intention and intuition: it doesn’t just decorate a room; it changes how the room feels. It changes how you feel. And that, to me will always be the real magic.
About Karen
Karen is an artist whose work explores the quiet intersections between creativity, connection, and the inner landscape of human experience.
Creativity has been a constant in a life that has held many chapters. From academic study to business, from seasons of caregiving to moments of reinvention, art has always offered a place of clarity and calm. It has been the thread that connects seemingly different paths. The artists journey has unfolded through curiosity, resilience and a deep appreciation of the possibilities for choice and creating magic in everyday life.
Living with a variety of animals and nature over the last decade or so has shaped a way of seeing that is both attentive and tender. Horses grazing in the field, the soft presence of dogs curled up nearby, the gentle rhythm of rural life - these are daily reminders to pause, breathe and notice what might otherwise be missed. This slower, more grounded way of moving through the world influences the work deeply. It encourages an art practice built on patience, observation and the understanding that creativity is a gift to share.
Karen’s interests are varied and are woven into the art, creating additional depth to the symbolism and story telling, with a thread of magic woven through everything.
Today, the artist’s focus is on creating work that invites others into the sense of stillness and connection, it gently asks them to stop and experience and offers up questions that can open thought process to hopefully lead to a better more beautiful life.
